ALWAYS BE THANKFUL......................

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

Life is a beautiful gift

These are some positive quotes that floated into my mind and took shape in due course.

Life is a beautiful gift granted to only those who have some talents in them and is a grant given by the most superior- The almighty
So realize it and live each second to its fullest rather than comparing yourself with others for seeing how much more special you are because it is only a waste of time as God has made everyone with something special ! :)

Life is full of twists and turns
And the best driver is the one who reaches his destiny without hitting his vehicle [life] even once while taking some of the most difficult turns and he will be the only person who will enjoy every second of his ride :)

Nothing you think is impossible but trying to think the way others do is impossible !!
Everything is a big YES
Nothing is even a small NO !!
Always think Positive and your results will be Positive.
Never think Negative so That your results are not Negative
Don't Cry so that life doesn't seem to be filled with tears
Always smile so that Life too seems to beam at you at every point !! :)
And above all be yourself rather than trying to be someone else !!
Because Life is beautiful only when you live it according to your views and not according to other's !! :)

A LESSON IN PRESERVANCE

Have you ever observed the behaviour of birds in the face of adversity ?

For days and days they make their nest, sometimes gathering materials brought from far away.

And when they have completed the nest and are ready to lay eggs, the weather or the work of humans, or some animal, destroys it, and it falls to the ground, all that they have done with so much effort.

Do they stop?
Bewildered, and leave their work ?

No Way !!
They start over building the nest again and again until they have eggs in the nest again.

Sometimes, and very often before the chicks are hatched, an animal, a child, or a storm destryos the nest once again, but this time with its valuable contents.

It hurts to go back and begin again.....
Even so, the birds do not stop, they continue to sing and build , and keep singing and building.

Do you sometimes get the feeling that your life, your work, your family is not what you had dreamed. Do you sometimes want to say 'enough', the effort is not worthwhile. It is all too much for me!

Are you tired of it all? Do you feel that the daily struggle is a waste of time, your trust has been betrayed, your goals not reached just as you were about to get them ?

Life strikes you down sometimes, but do you go on, say a prayer, put your faith in hope, not darkness? Do not worry if you get injured in the battle, that is to be expected. Gather yourself together and rebuild your life, so that it runs well again .

No matter what happens.....
Do not shrink back. but move forward. Life is a constant challenge, but it is worthwhile to mostly accept it.

In Life................

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend.  He was always there for her.   She told her boyfriend, If I could only see the world, I would marry you.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, Now that you can ! see the world, will you marry me?

The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind.  The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her.  She hadn't expected that.  The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying:  Take good care of  your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and only a very few remember who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT LIFE

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do
not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in my time, not yours

once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic; don’t despair. There are people in
this world for whom driving is an unheard  privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what my purpose is? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness,
ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them

LIFE IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION

LIFE IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION by BARRY MARCUS
~this is one of my favorite article~

Life is a journey at times sweet and pleasant
at other times bitter and hard.
We are all on this journey, forever changing,
forever growing forever dying.
During the course of this journey there are many destinations.
But each is merely a short stop signifying a new beginning.

As we travel along the journey of life we see many destinations ahead. We think in terms of destinations, of arriving at the desired stop. "When I turn 18 "; "When I get married"; "When I graduate"; "When I retire". But as we travel we discover that these are not destinations at all. They are merely events, stations where we can change the direction.

The journey begins on our arrival from the womb - perhaps earlier. This is our first destination, and the start of the journey through babyhood. We are curious and helpless, overwhelmed by the newness of it all. Gradually we grow stronger and more familiar with the people around us. We begin to crawl, utter our first words, and take our first tentative steps.

The next destination on our journey through life is toddler hood. We have acquired more tools to use in our exploration. Life is still a journey of discovery. Knowledge and language are awakened. We continue through to the next destination of childhood. Now we begin to learn our place as social beings. Friends become important. The journey still focuses on learning through play and through school.

There is a thin line that signifies the next destination. The teenage years are the beginning of a period of self discovery, of defining out unique identity. During this part of the journey our peers and the outside world assume a much greater importance. We need to be cool - accepted and admired by our social groups. We experience the pressures of the wider society. We break away, rejecting our childhood naivety. We become risk takers, experimenting with life. This is the part of the journey where sexual awareness has begun. The next few years are dominated by the search for partners.

The journey continues to the next destination of adulthood. With school days over we enter the world of business and work. Suddenly we are able to earn our own money, make our own decisions. Perhaps we meet a life partner. We marry and live happily ever after.
The fairy tales make this part of the journey seem like the destination of life. Young people dream of marriage which will tell them that they have arrived. But arriving at this station is another turning point in our journey through life. We are now in a partnership and much is till to follow. We have become a family. This is the next destination and a start of a whole new adventure. As our babies grow and develop our journey through life continues.

We experience success and failure, joy and heartbreak. The journey never stops, not even for a moment. In the blink of an eye our children are beginning to strike out, forming their own relationships and having their own children. Suddenly we are grandparents. Yet still we do not feel old!. Now the newlyweds look like children! How can they be ready to take on this journey alone?
Gradually we get older. We approach the final destination of life, the destination from which no-one returns.

Life is a journey taking us on a rocky ride. The destinations are merely new beginnings, a new phase of the journey. There will be highs and lows, happiness and grief. But as long as we live, the journey carries on.

Life is a journey; enjoy the ride
be kind along the way -Lori Carangelo

LOVE

To My Friends Who Are…MARRIED
Love is not about “it’s your fault”,
but “I’m sorry”, not “where are you’
but “I’m right here”, not “how could
you” but “I understand”, not “I wish
you were”, but “I’m thankful you are.”

To My Friends Who Are…ENGAGED
The true measure of compatibility is
not the years spent together but how
good you are for each other.

To My Friends Who Are…NOT SO SINGLE
Love isn’t about becoming somebody
else’s “perfect person.” It’s about
finding someone who helps you become
the best person you can be.

To My Friends Who Are…HEARTBROKEN
Heartbreaks last as long as you want
And cut deep as you allow them to go.
The challenge is not how to survive
Heartbreaks but to learn from them.

To My Friends Who Are…NAIVE
How to be in love: Fall but don’t
Stumble, be consistent but not too
Persistent, share and never be unfair,
Understand and try not to demand, and
Get hurt but never keep the pain.

To My Friends Who Are…SEARCHING
True love cannot be found where it
Does not truly exist, nor can it be
Hidden where it truly does. Love is
Magic. The more we hide it, the more
It shows; the more you suppress it,
The more it grows.

To My Friends Who
Are…PLAYBOY /GIRL TYPE
Never say I love if you don’t care.
Never talk about feelings if they
Aren’t there. Never touch a life if
You mean to break a heart. Never look
In the eye when what you do is lie.
The cruelest thing a guy can do to a
Girl is to let her fall in love when
He doesn’t intend to catch her fall.

to My Friends Who Are…POSSESSIVE
It breaks your heart to see the one
You love happy with someone else but
It’s more painful to know that the one
You love is unhappy with you.

To My Friends Who Are…AFRAID TO
CONFESS
Love hurts when you break up with
Someone. It hurts even more when
someone breaks up with you. But love
hurts the most when the person you
love has no idea how you feel.

To My Friends Who Are…STILL HOLDING
ON
A sad thing about life is that when
you meet someone who means a lot to
you, only to find out in the end that
it was never bound to be and we just
have to let go.

To My Friends Who Are…SINGLE
Love is like a butterfly. The more you
chase it, the more it eludes you. But
if you just let it fly, it would come
to you when you least expect it. Love
can make you happy but often times it
hurts, but love’s only special when
you give it to someone who is worth
it. So take your time and choose the
best!

Three things never return:
the past, the neglected opportunity,
and the spoken word
